What is grief and loss?

Grief is a normal response to loss. Everyone experiences grief and loss at some point which can include:

  • The death of a loved one or pet.

  • Parents’ divorce or separation.

  • Breaking up with your partner.

Grief is about our feelings, but it can also affect our bodies, our thoughts, and what we do. You might have heard of the ‘stages of grief’. We know there are no stages or ways people should approach grief and loss. We know that everyone has a different experience of loss and came to this program on their own unique path.
